Every feature is designed with safety in mind. Panic button, photo moderation, trust scores, reporting tools, and encrypted emergency contacts are standard — not locked behind a paywall. We especially prioritize the safety of women and marginalized communities.
Equity & Inclusion
PlatypusMatch is for everyone regardless of gender identity, orientation, race, disability, or background. We don't throttle your visibility to sell "boosts." Everyone gets the same fair experience. No pay-to-win dating.
Community Trust
Trust is earned, not bought. Our trust score system rewards profile completion, verified photos, positive interactions, and genuine engagement — not spending money. Community moderation keeps the platform clean and welcoming.
Open Source & Transparent
PlatypusMatch is open source. Our code is publicly auditable. We don't sell your data, we don't run dark patterns, and our matching algorithm is transparent — it pairs people based on shared interests, not ad revenue.

Unlike conventional dating apps that use opaque algorithms designed to maximize screen time, PlatypusMatch uses a transparent, interest-based matching system:
- 1 Shared Interests — Profiles with overlapping interests and community memberships are prioritized. The more you share, the higher you appear.
- 2 Profile Prompts — Fun prompts let you showcase your personality beyond just photos. Others can "like" specific answers to start a real conversation.
- 3 Keyword Affinity — Your bio, prompt answers, and interests are compared for natural compatibility. No manipulation, just honest pairing.
- 4 Community Connections — Members of the same communities have higher compatibility. Shared spaces build genuine rapport.
🚫 Zero Tolerance Policy
PlatypusMatch has zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, catfishing, scams, unsolicited explicit content, or any form of abuse. Our moderation team reviews every report, and consequences are swift:
- • Immediate account ban for harassment, threats, or hate speech
- • Auto-hiding of accounts that receive multiple reports
- • IP logging and cooperation with law enforcement when safety is at risk
- • All photos reviewed before going live
