1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Platypus Match, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the platform.

2. Eligibility

Users must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate information during registration
  • Not use the platform for illegal, harmful, or deceptive purposes

3. User Responsibilities

Users agree that they:

  • Are solely responsible for their conduct and content
  • Will communicate respectfully and lawfully
  • Will not impersonate others or falsify information
  • Will exercise caution when interacting with others
  • Will maintain only one account per person

Platypus Match is not liable for user interactions.

3a. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension or termination:

  • Harassment: Threatening, intimidating, bullying, or repeatedly contacting someone who has indicated they are not interested
  • Hate speech: Slurs, derogatory language, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or religion
  • Multiple accounts: Creating more than one account per person, or re-registering after being banned
  • Spam or solicitation: Sending unsolicited commercial messages, chain messages, or promoting products/services
  • Scamming or fraud: Requesting money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial information from other users
  • Sharing personal information of others: Posting another person's photos, contact information, or private details without their consent

3b. Commercial Activity & Adult Services

We recognize that sex work is legitimate work. However, PlatypusMatch is a dating platform designed for people seeking genuine personal connections and relationships — not a marketplace for commercial services.

Accordingly, the following are not permitted on PlatypusMatch:

  • Advertising, soliciting, or promoting sexual services — paid or otherwise
  • Linking to adult content platforms (e.g., OnlyFans, Fansly, or similar sites)
  • Including URLs, social media handles, or external contact information in profiles or bios
  • Using the platform to recruit, drive traffic, or generate leads for any off-platform commercial activity

Profiles that appear to be advertising services rather than seeking genuine connections will be removed. All connections should be made through PlatypusMatch's built-in messaging system — this protects both parties and helps us maintain a safe environment.

This policy exists to protect the purpose and safety of our community, not to pass judgment on anyone's choices or livelihood.

3c. Profile Content Rules

To protect user privacy and prevent spam, profiles may not contain:

  • URLs or website links of any kind
  • Social media handles (e.g., @username for Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter/X, TikTok, etc.)
  • Phone numbers, email addresses, or other direct contact details
  • Messaging app usernames (Telegram, Signal, Kik, WhatsApp, etc.)

All communication should happen through PlatypusMatch messaging. Once you've gotten to know someone, you can exchange personal contact information through private messages at your own discretion.

4. No Guarantees or Warranties

Platypus Match makes no guarantees regarding:

  • Successful matches
  • User compatibility
  • User authenticity or behavior
  • The accuracy of user-submitted information

The platform is provided “as is.”

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Platypus Match is not liable for:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Harassment, disputes, assaults, loss, or harm arising from user interactions
  • Any third-party actions or content

Your use of the platform is at your sole risk.

6. Account Termination

Platypus Match may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create safety concerns.

7. Privacy

Your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

8. Modifications

Platypus Match may update these terms at any time. Continued use implies acceptance.

Legal Disclaimer — Liability & User Responsibility

By accessing or using Platypus Match, users acknowledge and agree that they participate in all interactions — online or offline — at their own sole risk. Platypus Match does not verify user identities, perform background checks, or evaluate the character, intentions, or behavior of users beyond what is required by law.

Platypus Match, including its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates, is not responsible or liable for:

  • Any actions, behaviors, conduct, or statements made by users
  • Any damages, harm, disputes, loss, or incidents resulting from interactions between users
  • The accuracy or truthfulness of information users provide
  • Meetings, dates, communications, or engagements arranged on or off the platform

Each user is fully and solely responsible for their own behavior, safety decisions, and interactions with others. By using the service, users agree to hold Platypus Match harmless from any claims, disputes, damages, injuries, or losses connected to their interactions with other users.

Continued use of the platform signifies agreement with this disclaimer.
